Schlam is seeking an experienced mechanical or structural engineer, providing support to the Project Manager and ensuring fabrication standards, quality, project schedules and cost management standards are met. The position holder will liaise closely with external build partners to ensure these objectives are achieved. This role has responsibility to contribute to Schlam’s Continuous Improvement program.
As the successful applicant you’ll be
*Developing and implementing project documentation to meet quality assurance standards.
*Providing detailed drawings and designs to China based build partners, working with the Project Manager and Project Coordinators to take final designs to fabrication partners.
*Facilitate the processes to develop solutions, including constructability (safety) and construction cost reviews.
*Project manage the outputs to meet agreed timelines.
*Provide a high standard of customer satisfaction through the development and presentation of detailed plans as required to meet the client’s design brief/requirement.
*Ensure adherence to the organisation’s IT systems
*Collaborate with system owners and document any improvements.
*Carry out these activities in line with process descriptions and agreed time schedule.
